The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) will bring its ‘Walk Through Working Life’ exhibition to Sligo from 12-15 November. The exhibition is designed to provide information on key ‘life’ events that happen during a person’s working life from starting your first job, employing someone for the first time, issues at work, leaving work and considering retirement.
Business studies students from five local secondary schools will also visit the WRC Sligo office on 12-13 November to learn more about what the WRC does and about employment and industrial relations legislation, which now forms part of the Leaving Certification Business Studies curriculum.
The exhibition will then move to Sligo IT on Wednesday 14 November where it will be on display on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 November. WRC staff will also run presentations for the students.
Finally, the WRC will move to the Johnston Court Shopping Centre on Saturday 17 November. From 10am – 4pm our staff will be on hand to speak with members of the public and answer any questions they may have about their working life.
If you live in the Sligo area and would like to talk to us, visit us at the Johnston Court Shopping Centre on Saturday 17 November from 10am - 4pm.
The WRC – helping you, whatever your work.
