Recommendation:
3. The Court, having considered the submissions made by the
parties, recommends that the Company offer and the Union accept
a compensatory payment of £1,000 to each of those displaced in
full and final settlement of the Union's claims. The Court
further recommends that the number of redundancies should be
settled at seven arising from the Company's proposals.

SUBJECT:
1. Dispute concerning (a) number of redundancies, (b)
compensation for displacement, and (c) share of savings arising
from rationalisation.
BACKGROUND:
2. With reference to the Court's investigation of 12th July,
1988, into the above dispute the following is the Recommendation
of the Court.
RECOMMENDATION:
3. The Court, having considered the submissions made by the
parties, recommends that the Company offer and the Union accept
a compensatory payment of £1,000 to each of those displaced in
full and final settlement of the Union's claims. The Court
further recommends that the number of redundancies should be
settled at seven arising from the Company's proposals.
