Recommendation:
3. On the basis of the evidence before it, the Court is of the
view that the two claimants should have been restored to their
work on the bridge as soon as the inquiry ended since they had
been cleared of involvement in the incident at issue.
The Court therefore, recommends that they be transferred to the
bridge immediately. Regarding the question of compensation for
loss of earnings, the Court recommends that each of the two
claimants should be paid the sum of £150 in full and final
settlement of their claim.

SUBJECT:

BACKGROUND:
2. This matter was the subject of a Labour Court hearing on 30th
March, 1988.
RECOMMENDATION:
3. On the basis of the evidence before it, the Court is of the
view that the two claimants should have been restored to their
work on the bridge as soon as the inquiry ended since they had
been cleared of involvement in the incident at issue.
The Court therefore, recommends that they be transferred to the
bridge immediately. Regarding the question of compensation for
loss of earnings, the Court recommends that each of the two
claimants should be paid the sum of £150 in full and final
settlement of their claim.
