Proposed rationalisation involving:- (a) Redundancy and (b) Flexibility
Recommendation:
3. Having considered the submissions made by the parties, the
Court is of the view that the Company's proposals on redundancy
compensation are fair and reasonable. The Court recommends,
however, that the Company should agree to implement one redundancy
initially and that any further redundancies should be a matter for
consideration when the new equipment is installed. On this basis,
the Court recommends that the Union accepts the Company's
proposals on flexibility.
