Labour Court Database __________________________________________________________________________________ File Number: CD89249 Case Number: LCR12350 Section / Act: S67 Parties: MINCH NORTON MALTINGS LIMITED - and - IRISH TRANSPORT AND GENERAL WORKERS' UNION |
Proposed rationalisation involving:- (A) Redundancy and (B) Flexibility.
Recommendation:
3. The Court is concerned at the lack of realistic discussions
between the parties aimed at reaching a resolution of this
dispute.
In order to progress matters the Court recommends that there
should be immediate negotiations between the parties on the terms
of a redundancy package. Detailed discussions on the Company's
proposals for rationalisation of its operation should then
commence immediately.
Should the parties not succeed in agreeing redundancy terms by
Friday, 28th April, the Court would be prepared to issue a
recommendation on the redundancy terms.
