Proposed rationalisation involving:- (A) Redundancy and (B) Flexibility.
Recommendation:
3. Having considered the submissions made by the parties, the
Court recommends that the following redundancy terms should apply:
Voluntary and Compulsory:
3 weeks average pay per year of service, plus statutory to a
maximum of #18,000 (for compulsory an additional #1,000 lump
sum, plus a ceiling of #19,000 to apply). The conditions 2
and 4 set out on page 11 of the Company's "February Document"
to apply.
The above terms to be conditional on agreement and implementation
of the rationalisation proposals by 30th June next.

SUBJECT:
1. Proposed rationalisation involving:-
(A) Redundancy and (B) Flexibility.
BACKGROUND:
2. This matter was the subject of a Labour Court Conciliation
Conference held on 28th March, 1989. No agreement being reached,
it was referred to a full Court hearing which took place on 13th
April, 1989. Labour Court Recommendation No. 12350 issued on the
same day. A resumed hearing took place on 11th May, 1989 and the
following is the Court's Recommendation:
