Labour Court Database __________________________________________________________________________________ File Number: CD92526 Case Number: LCR13774 Section / Act: S26(1) Parties: IRISH GLASS BOTTLE COMPANY LIMITED - and - SERVICES INDUSTRIAL PROFESSIONAL TECHNICAL UNION |
Rehearing arising from Recommendation No. LCR13597.
Recommendation:
3. The Court has fully considered the views expressed by the
parties in their oral and written submissions and the analysis of
the work carried out by the Irish Productivity Centre (I.P.C.).
The Court takes the view that the system, when fully operational,
will not result in any significant increase in the operators'
responsibilities or duties. However, until the necessary
adaptations have been effected to bring the system to full
operational status, there are certain demands on the workers
concerned which the Court considers should be addressed.
Accordingly, the adaptations necessary should be effected and
completed on or before 31st December, 1992.
In the interim the system should be fully operated.
In compensation for operating the system during this period the
operators should each receive a payment of #200.00.
The Court so recommends.
