Clarification of Labour Court Recommendation 13702 in relation to the operation of the slaughter line.
Recommendation:
3. The Court has considered the views of the parties and the
documentation supplied in respect of the values. The Court finds:
(1) That the rest allowance should be 15%.
(2) That there are reasonable grounds for the provision of a
contingency allowance. Accordingly the Court, having taken
the above into account, is of the view that the proposed
operation of the line to produce 480 cattle at standard
performance is not unreasonable and should be used on a trial
basis when implementing the performance related scheme. The
above target is subject to "remove ear tag" being confirmed as
the critical operation.
The Court would recommend that the Company put forward proposals
for a performance related scheme at the earliest possible date.
