Appeal against Rights Commissioner's Receommendation CW134/94.
Recommendation:
The Court, having considered all of the views of the parties as
expressed in their oral and written submissions, finds that it was
reasonable for the workers to expect that the payment of #100 net
would apply to all workers, management included.
Accordingly, it is the view of the Court that the claim made on
behalf of the employees by their Union for one weeks wages should
be conceded, taking into account the #100 net already paid.
The payment to each claimant should be adjusted to reflect the net
value of the voucher.
The Court so decides.
