SUBJECT:
1. Dispute concerning alleged discrimination referred under
Section 19(5) of the Employment Equality Act, 1977 (time

BACKGROUND:
2. The Court investigated the matter to decide whether or not
the reference to the Court complied with Section 19(5) of the
Act.
DECISION:
Having considered the submission from the parties the Court is of
the view that the claimants have not shown "reasonable cause" as
to why the claims were not lodged within the statutory time limit.
The Court accordingly will not refer the claim to an Equality
Officer for investigation.
