1. Alleged unfair dismissal.
BACKGROUND:
2. The Company is located at Swords, Co. Dublin. The worker concerned was employed as a Sales Assistant by the Company from the 17th of May, 1999. She claims she was unfairly dismissed on the 15th of October, 1999.
The Company rejects the claim stating that she was not suitable for the position.
The worker referred a claim of unfair dismissal to the Labour Court in accordance with Section 20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act, 1969, and agreed to be bound by the Court's recommendation. The Court investigated the dispute on the 13th of July, 2000.
The worker did not make a submission to the Court and did not attend the hearing.
RECOMMENDATION:
The claimant failed to attend the hearing or to make any submission to the Court in relation to this case.
The Court, therefore, does not recommend concession of this claim.
