1. Enhanced redundancy payments.
BACKGROUND:
2. The Labour Court investigated the above dispute on the 20th August, 2001 under Section 26(1) of the Industrial Relations Act, 1990. The following is the Court's Recommendation.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Court has taken full account of the submissions made by the parties and of the information provided relating to the Company's financial circumstances.
The Court recommends that the Company improve its offer to one of four times statutory entitlements. In the case of those with between one and two years' service an ex-gratia payment of £600 (761.84Euros) should be made and £350 (444.41Euros) in the case of those with less than one year's service. This offer should be accepted by the Union in full settlement of the dispute.
