This dispute concerns a claim by Ms. Dympna Minaguchi that Mr. Ray Byrne, t/a
Wineport Lakeshore Restaurant, discriminated against her on grounds of marital status, family status and age, within the meaning of section 6 of the Employment Equality Act, 1998 and in contravention of section 8(1)(c) of that Act, when he required her to fulfil conditions in respect of obtaining a work experience placement at that establishment in February, 2000 which were not required of other students seeking similar placement elsewhere.
