1. Redundancy terms.
BACKGROUND:
2. The Labour Court investigated the dispute on the 1st of March, 2001. The following is the Court's recommendation:-
RECOMMENDATION:
The Court, having considered the written and oral submissions made by the parties makes the following recommendation:-
1. Redundancy terms to be paid at 4 weeks' pay per year of service exclusive of statutory redundancy payments.
2. The Company to allow 2 of the 6 remaining positions to be filled on a voluntary basis.
3. The Court notes the Company commitment that the terms of this recommendation, if accepted, would be made available to the 6 employees remaining on the books, if there was a subsequent redundancy.
