1. Appeal Under Section 83 Of The Employment Equality Act, 1998
BACKGROUND:
2. A Labour Court hearing took place in accordance with Section 83 of the Employment Equality Act, 1998, on the 3rd June, 2008. The following is the Labour Court's Determination:-
DETERMINATION:
Mark Savage made a complaint of discrimination against Federal Security Services Ltd. under Section 77 of the Employment Equality Acts 1998 and 204. The claim was dismissed by an Equality Officer of the Equality Tribunal who found that Mr Svage had not been discriminated against. Mr Savage appealed to this Court.
Mr Savage was informed of the time, date and place of the sitting of the Court for the purpose of hearing his appeal. Mr Savage failed to attend the sitting of the Court. The appeal is fully contested by Federal Security Services Ltd.
It is the determination of the Court that the appeal herein be struck out for want of prosecution and that the decision of the Equality Tribunal be affirmed.
