The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
Determination
Based on the uncontested evidence of the appellant, the Tribunal finds that he is entitled to a redundancy lump sum based on the following information:
Date of Birth: 11 October 1982
Date Employment Began: 6 July 2005
Date Employment Ended: 9 November 2008
Gross Weekly Pay: €680.00
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
It should be noted that payments from the social insurance fund are limited to a maximum of €600.00 per week.
The claim under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 succeeds.
The claim under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005 succeeds and the appellant is awarded €1,360.00 being 2 weeks pay.
