The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:
The respondent conceded that a redundancy situation had occurred and that the appellant was entitled to a redundancy payment, however he stated that he was unable to pay the redundancy lump sum due to financial hardship.
The Tribunal finds that the appellant is entitled to a redundancy lump sum payment under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007, based on the following information:
Date of Birth: 24th December 1967
Date of Commencement: 29th April 2005
Date of Termination: 10th March 2008
Gross Weekly Pay: €315.00
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
