1. Removal from sick pay scheme.
BACKGROUND:
2. This dispute concerns the Worker's claim that he was removed from the sick pay scheme for no good reason. The Worker referred this case to the Labour Court on 16th November, 2011, in accordance with Section 20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act, 1969, and agreed to be bound by the Court's Recommendation. A Labour Court hearing took place on 17th April, 2012,at which the Worker was not in attendance or represented.
RECOMMENDATION:
This claim was referred to the Court by a worker under Section 20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act 1969. The Claimant was informed of the time and date on which the hearing to investigate this dispute would be held. The Claimant failed to attend the hearing or to otherwise communicate with the Court.
In these circumstances the Court deems the referral to have been withdrawn.
