1. Unfair Dismissal
BACKGROUND:
2. This case concerns a dispute between the worker and her former employer in relation to alleged unfair dismissal. The worker referred the matter to the Labour Court on 14th October 2013 in accordance with Section 20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act, 1969 and agreed to be bound by the Court's Recommendation. A Labour Court hearing took place on 4th December 2013. The following is the Court's Recommendation:
RECOMMENDATION:
This dispute was referred to the Court by the worker under Section 20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act 1969. The case was listed for hearing on 4th December 2013 at 10.00 am. The Court sat at 10.05 am for the purpose of hearing the case. There was no appearance by the Claimant. A representative of the employer did appear.
In circumstances in which the Claimant was not present in Court to move her case the Court directed that the claim be struck out.
