The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
Determination
The claimantgave evidence of commencing employment with the respondent company on the 9 April 2007. Her employment ended by reason of redundancy on the 6 January 2012. The respondent’s representative told the Tribunal that the respondent is no longer trading, is insolvent and unable to pay minimum notice to the claimant.
The Tribunal awards the claimant €812.00, being the equivalent of two weeks’ gross pay, in lieu of notice under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts 1973 to 2005.
