1. Bullying
BACKGROUND:
2. The case concerns an allegation by the Claimant of bullying.
On the 6thSeptember 2012, the Claimant referred the dispute to the Labour Court in accordance with Section 20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act, 1969 and agreed to be bound by the Court's Recommendation.
A Labour Court hearing took place on the 25th April 2013. The Claimant did not attend the hearing or outline his position to the Court in correspondence.
RECOMMENDATION:
This dispute was referred to the Court pursuant to section 20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act 1969. The hearing to investigate the dispute was arranged for 11.30 am on Thursday 25thApril 2013 in Cork.
The employer was represented at the said hearing but the Claimant failed to attend.
The Court is satisfied that the Claimant was informed of the date, time and place of the hearing.
In these circumstances the Court directed that the complaint be struck out.
