There was no appearance or representation for the respondent. The Tribunal is satisfied that proper notification was sent to the respondent The Tribunal determines that a redundancy situation existed. The appeal under the Redundancy Payments Acts 1967 to 2007 succeeds and the Tribunal awards the appellant a lump sum based on the following criteria:
Date of Birth: 09th June 1977
Date of Commencement: 01st August 2008
Date of Termination: 13th January 2011
Gross Weekly Wage: €396.52
This award is made subject to the appellant fulfilling current social welfare requirements in relation to PRSI contributions.
The appeal under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005, succeeds and the Tribunal awards the appellant the sum of €793.04, this being the equivalent of two weeks gross pay as compensation in lieu of notice.
