Appellant(s):
Respondent(s):
The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
The Tribunal was satisfied that both the appellant and his representative had been duly notified of the hearing but neither of them attended at the hearing. The respondent’s position was that it had already paid the appellant a redundancy lump sum for which he had signed documentation. This documentation was produced to the Tribunal. The respondent submitted that the redundancy appeal before the Tribunal should be struck out.
Determination:
The appeal under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007, falls for want of prosecution.
