Determination
The Tribunal are satisfied that the respondent was properly put on notice of this hearing.
Appellant 1 gave evidence that she worked for the respondent on work experience before commencing employment on the 18th of January 2010. The respondent business closed and appellant 1 was made redundant on the 18th of November 2011. The Tribunal find that the appeal of appellant 1 under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 fails as she does not have the required service as prescribed in the Acts.
Based on the uncontested evidence of appellant 2 the Tribunal is satisfied that she is entitled to a redundancy lump sum under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 based on the following;
Date employment commenced: 12th September 2009
Date employment ended 18th November 2011
Gross weekly pay €362.00
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment, during the relevant period, in accordance with the Social Welfare Acts.
