The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
The appellant claimed that her employment, which commenced in October 2008, ended by reason of redundancy at the end of December 2010. Her gross weekly pay was assessed at €183.00 (for twenty hours per week) from documentation available at the hearing.
No evidence was offered by or on behalf of the respondent at the hearing to contest the appellant’s entitlement to a redundancy lump sum.
Determination:
Under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007, the Tribunal unanimously finds that the appellant is entitled to a redundancy lump sum based on the following details:
Date of birth: 15 June 1966
Date of commencement: 15 October 2008
Date of termination: 31 December 2010
Gross weekly pay: €183.00
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
