The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:
The Tribunal notes that the respondent is conceding the appellant’s application under the Redundancy Payments Acts, and the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts.
Having considered this case The Tribunal allows the appeal under the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 to 2007 and awards the appellant a statutory lump sum under those Acts, and based on the following:
Date of Birth: 01 April 1970
Date of Commencement : 08 September 2003
Date of Termination: 19 July 2011
Gross Weekly Wage: €485.00
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
The appeal under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1995 to 2005 also succeeds and the appellant is awarded €1940.00 as compensation for four weeks’ notice.
