Neither the respondent nor a representative on its behalf appeared for this hearing.
Having heard and considered this case the Tribunal finds that the appellant’s employment with respondent was terminated by way of redundancy. Accordingly, the appeal under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 succeeds and the appellant is awarded a statutory lump sum payment under those Acts, and based on the following:
Date of Birth: 24 January 1974
Date of Commencement: 07 July 2009
Date of Termination: 06 February 2012
Gross Weekly Wage: €1421.00
A statutory weekly ceiling of €600.00 applies to payments from the Social Insurance Fund.
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the appropriate Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
The appeal under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005 and the appellant is awarded €2842.00 as compensation for two weeks’ notice under those Acts.
