The claim under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts 1973 to 2005 was withdrawn by the appellant’s representative on the day of the hearing.
Determination
The Tribunal is satisfied that notices of the hearing in this case have been properly served and the respondent is aware of the hearing. Based on the uncontested evidence of the appellant the Tribunal is satisfied that he was dismissed by reason of redundancy. Accordingly the Tribunal awards the appellant a lump sum payment under the Redundancy Payments Acts 1967 to 2007 based on the following information:
Service from: 1 November 1987 to 15 February 2013
Normal weekly remuneration: €337.50
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in employment which is insurable for all purposes under the Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005.
