Determination
The Tribunal is satisfied that the respondent was properly put on notice of this hearing.
On completion of phase 6 of his apprenticeship, the appellant contacted the respondent to return to work. The respondent informed him that there was no work available for him. The Tribunal finds that the appellant’s employment was terminated by way of redundancy and award him a lump sum based on the following;
Date of Commencement: 16th October 2007
Date of Termination: 5th December 2011
Gross Weekly Wage: €647.01
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the relevant Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period. A weekly ceiling of €600.00, gross pay, applies to payments from the social insurance fund.
