The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-

The respondent did not contest the claim for minimum notice but contended that the company had no funds to make the payment. The company were forced to cease trading on 16^th March 2012 when their bank refused to extend the company’s overdraft. The claimant was employed from 1^st October 2007 to 16^th March 2012.

The Tribunal awards the claimant €1,030 (one thousand and thirty euro) in respect of two weeks’ pay under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005.
