Determination
The Tribunal is satisfied that the respondent was properly put on notice of this hearing. Neither they nor a representative on their behalf attended the hearing.
The Tribunal are satisfied that reasonable circumstances prevented the appellant from lodging his claim within the 1 year time period as prescribed in the Acts and are therefore happy to extend the time limit and accept jurisdiction.
The appellant gave evidence with the aid of an interpreter. Based on the uncontested evidence of the appellant the Tribunal awards him a redundancy lump sum under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 based on the following;
Commencement of Employment: 4th March 2007
Termination of Employment: 13th January 2010
Gross Weekly Pay: €350.00
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the relevant Social Welfare Acts for the period.
