Background:
The Tribunal heard evidence from both parties. It was common case between the parties that the appellant’s employment terminated by reason of redundancy.
Determination:
The Tribunal is satisfied from the evidence that a redundancy situation existed in relation to the appellant’s position. Accordingly, he is entitled to a payment under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007, based on the following criteria:
Date of Birth: 16 March 1948
Date of Commencement: 10 June 1990
Date of Termination: 9 November 2011
Gross Weekly Pay: €930.00
It should be noted that payments from the Social Insurance Fund are limited to a maximum of €600.00 per week.
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
