There was no appearance by or on behalf of the respondent. The Tribunal is satisfied that the respondent was properly notified of the hearing.

The appellant gave evidence that employment came to an end due to the closure of the business.

Based on the uncontested evidence the Tribunal finds that the appellant is entitled to a redundancy payment under the Redundancy Payment Acts, 1967 to 2007 based on the following criteria:

Date of Birth:                         31^st May 1960

Date of Commencement:        21^st May 2006

Date of Termination:              23^rd July 2012

Gross Weekly Wage:              €409.50

This award is subject to the appellant having been in employment, which is insurable for all purposes under the Social Welfare Consolidation Act 2005.
