This case came before the Tribunal by way of an employer appealing the recommendation of a Rights Commissioner under the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1997 to 2007 (ref: r-123410-ud-12/RG) and a decision under the Payment of Wages Act, 1991, (ref: 123415-pw-12/RG).
The determination of the Tribunal was as follows:-
There was no appearance by or representation on behalf of the appellant (employer). The Tribunal is satisfied that the appellant was on notice of the hearing. Accordingly, the appeals under the Payment of Wages Act, 1991, and the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 to 2007, are dismissed for want of prosecution.
Accordingly, the recommendation of a Rights Commissioner under the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1997 to 2007 (ref: r-123410-ud-12/RG) and a decision under the Payment of Wages Act, 1991, (ref: 123415-pw-12/RG) stand.
