This case came before the Tribunal where the appellant was seeking implementation of the recommendations of the Rights Commissioner under the Terms of Employment (Information Act, 1994 and 2001 reference: (r-125048-te-12/MMG) and the Unfair Dismissals Acts 1977 to 2007 reference: (r-123051-ud-12/MMG).
Determination
The Tribunal is satisfied that both parties were properly on notice of the hearing. The Tribunal, being satisfied that the recommendations of the Rights Commissioner have not been carried out, the time for bringing an appeal having expired and no such appeal having been brought, makes a determination to the like effect as the recommendations and awards €1,000.00 under the Terms of Employment (Information) Act, 1994 and 2001 and €5,000.00 under the Unfair Dismissals Acts 1977 to 2007.
