Pattison Boran Hall, 18 Lower Patrick Street, Kilkenny
Respondent:
No appearance by or on behalf of the respondent.
Background
There was no appearance by or on behalf of the respondent and the Tribunal is satisfied that they were properly notified of the hearing.
The claimant commenced employment with the respondent on 20th March 2005 and was dismissed, without notice, by way of redundancy on 20th July 2012. The claimant was not paid in lieu of notice and is therefore claiming 4 weeks’ payment in lieu of notice.
At the time of her redundancy the claimant was being paid €626.83 per week.
Determination
Having considered the uncontested evidence of the claimant the Tribunal is satisfied that he was not paid minimum notice and accordingly awards him €2,507.32, being 4 weeks wages, under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005
