Determination
The Tribunal is satisfied that the parties were properly on notice of the hearing. There was no appearance by the respondent on the day of the hearing. Based on the uncontested sworn evidence of the claimants the Tribunal finds that they did not receive their statutory notice entitlements.
Accordingly in respect of claimant No 1 the Tribunal awards the sum of €2338.00, this sum being the equivalent of 8 week’s pay under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts 1973 to 2005.
In respect of claimant No 2 the Tribunal awards the sum of €2668.80, this sum being the equivalent of 6 week’s pay under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts 1973 to 2005.
