The determination of the Tribunal was as follows:-
This case came to the Tribunal as an employer appeal under the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 to 2007, against Rights Commissioner Recommendation r-120504-ud-12/JC by which the respondent employee was awarded the sum of €3,000.00 and as an employer appeal under the Payment of Wages Act, 1991, against Rights Commissioner Decision r-120507-pw-12/JC by which the respondent employee was awarded the sum of €470.00.
Determination:
Given that the appellant did not attend the Tribunal hearing or send representation on its behalf, the Tribunal affirms Rights Commissioner Recommendation r-120504-ud-12/JC under the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 to 2007, by which the respondent employee was awarded the sum of €3,000.00 and Rights Commissioner Decision r-120507-pw-12/JC under the Payment of Wages Act, 1991, by which the respondent employee was awarded the sum of €470.00.
