It was conceded by the respondent that a redundancy situation existed in relation to the termination of the appellant’s employment. Accordingly, the Tribunal awards the appellant a lump sum payment under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 based on the following criteria:

Date of Commencement: 11th December 2007
Date of Termination: 9th December 2011
Gross Pay: €187.72
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in employment which is insurable for all purposes under the relevant Social Welfare Acts.
The Tribunal awards the appellant €375.44 (being the equivalent of two weeks’ gross pay) under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005.
