Determination
The appellant commenced employment as a chef with the respondent on the 4 August 2002. On the 27 November 2012 he finished work at 2.30pm. He received a call from a colleague at 12.30pm the next day - 28 November 2012 that he was to collect his belongings as the respondent was closing down. He did not sign an RP50 form.
On the uncontroverted evidence of the appellant the Tribunal finds that he is entitled to a redundancy lump payment under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 based on the following criteria:
Date employment commenced 4 August 2002
Date employment ceased 28 November 2012
Gross weekly pay €560.00 per week
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment during the relevant period under the Social Welfare Acts.
