1. An appeal against a Rights Commissioner's Decision r-140728-ft-13/RG.
BACKGROUND:
2. The Respondent appealed the Rights Commissioner's Decision to the Labour Court on the 8th August 2014. A Labour Court hearing took place on the 20th November 2014. The following is the Labour Court's Decision:-
DETERMINATION:
This matter came before the Court by way of an appeal by the HSE, Dublin North East against the Decision of a Rights Commissioner in a claim by Dr Amjad Altaf brought under the Protection of Employees (Fixed-Term Work) Act 2003.
In the course of the hearing of the appeal the Court was told that the parties had reached agreement on the matters giving rise to the claim.
In accordance with the agreement reached and on consent, the Court determines that the within appeal be allowed and that the Decision of the Rights Commissioner be set aside.
