The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
Determination
The Tribunal is satisfied that the respondent was on notice of the hearing. As there was no appearance by or on behalf of the respondent the Tribunal heard the uncontested evidence of the appellant.
The claim under the Redundancy Payment Acts, 1967 to 2007 was withdrawn by the appellant.
The appellant gave evidence of commencing employment with the respondent organisation on the 1 March 1995. Her employment ended on the 28 June 2013 and she was given no prior notice or payment in lieu of minimum notice.
The Tribunal award the appellant the sum of €6,309.04 in lieu of eight weeks minimum notice under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005.
