There was no appearance by the Respondent.
On the uncontested evidence of the Appellant the decision of the Tribunal was as follows:
At the Tribunal hearing the Appellant addressed the Tribunal on the history of his employment,
with the respondent. Among other things he indicated that he had difficulty in finding the respondent and this caused considerable delay.
Having heard the uncontested evidence of the appellant the Tribunal finds that he is entitled to redundancy payment and notice payment in the prescribed form.
Determination:
Under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007, the Tribunal finds that the appellant is entitled to a redundancy lump sum based on the following details:
Date of birth: N/A
Date of commencement: 01 Jan 2000
Date of termination: 15 Jul 2011
Gross weekly pay: €480.69
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
Allowing the claim lodged under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts 1973 to 2005, the Tribunal awards the appellant the sum of €2,884.19, (this amount being equivalent to six weeks’ gross pay at €480.69 per week).
