The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
The claimant claimed a minimum notice payment on the grounds that he had worked for the respondent for some twelve years when he got notice on 13 December 2012 that his employment would end on 28 December 2012. His gross weekly pay was €415.39.
No evidence was proffered to the Tribunal by or on behalf of the respondent.
Determination:
On the uncontested evidence of the claimant the Tribunal, allowing the claim under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005, awards the claimant the sum of €1,578.48 (this amount being equivalent to 3.8 weeks’ gross pay at €415.39 per week).
