Synopsis of the case:
It was the claimant’s evidence that he was employed from August 2001 to April 2013. He received two weeks notice prior to the end of his employment and it was his case that he is due payment in lieu for a further four weeks based on his service. His employment terminated due to a lack of work and he was provided with an RP50 form from his employer. The claimant’s evidence was not contested by the director of the respondent company.
Determination:
The Tribunal is satisfied from the evidence adduced that the claimant is entitled to the outstanding sum of €2,523.04 (being the equivalent of four weeks’ gross pay) Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005.
