Claimant’s case:
The appellant commenced employment with the respondent on 15th January 1997 and was absent on sick leave from 2nd December 2010 until the business closed down on 21st December 2011. At the date of termination the appellant’s rate of pay was €376.23 per week.
The appellant never received a redundancy lump sum.
Determination
Having considered the uncontested evidence of the appellant the Tribunal awards her a lump sum redundancy payment under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 based on the following criteria.
