The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
There was no appearance by or representation on behalf of the Liquidator. The Tribunal notes that the Liquidator wrote in advance of the hearing to confirm that the appellant was entitled to payment in respect of redundancy and minimum notice.
The appellant confirmed that his employment began on 2nd June 1986 and was terminated without notice on 12th April 2013. He received €550.00 weekly gross pay.
Determination:
The Tribunal is satisfied that a redundancy situation occurred and that the appellant is entitled to a redundancy lump sum payment under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007, based on the following information:

Date of Termination: 12th April 2013
Weekly Gross Pay: €550.00
Estimated Redundancy Lump Sum: €30,118.00
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
The Tribunal also awards the appellant €4,500.00 (four thousand five hundred euro) in respect of 8 weeks’ pay under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005.
