The determination of the Tribunal was as follows:-
There was no appearance by or representation on behalf of the respondent. The Tribunal is satisfied that the respondent was on notice of the hearing via registered and ordinary post. The business continues to be registered at the address above. The Tribunal is satisfied that the respondent was properly put on notice of this hearing. The claimant gave evidence that her employment commenced on 14th June 2010 and was terminated by the employer unfairly, on 23rd March 2013.
Determination:
Based on the uncontested evidence of the claimant the Tribunal finds that she was unfairly dismissed and having regard to all the circumstances awards her €14,379 (fourteen thousand three hundred and seventy nine euro) under the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 to 2007.
The Tribunal also finds that the claimant is entitled to the sum of €416.00 (being the equivalent of two weeks’ gross pay under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005
