This is a claim for minimum notice under the provisions of the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005. The claimant has received payment in lieu of the statutory period of notice. Her claim is that she had a contractual entitlement to a longer period of notice. The Tribunal may only make an award in in respect of a statutory period of notice and, as the claimant accepts that she received this notice, the Tribunal has no option but to dismiss this claim.
