Determination:
There was no appearance or representation for or on behalf of the Respondent. The Tribunal is satisfied that proper notification was sent to the Respondent. Having heard the uncontested evidence of the Appellant the Tribunal is satisfied that her employment was terminated by reason of redundancy. Accordingly, the Tribunal awards the Appellant a redundancy lump sum payment based on the following information:
Date of commencement: 01st April 2010
Date of notice: 30th July 2013
Date of cessation: 23rd August 2013
Gross weekly pay: €358.00
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
The appeal under the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997, succeeds and the Tribunal awards the Appellant the sum of €1,933.20.
